Great news – Ryan, our Club Coach, has been nominated Devon Tennis Coach of the Year 2018. Congratulations, Ryan, from everyone at the Club and well-deserved!
From November 2018, all British Tennis Registered Venues are required to meet five minimum standards as part of their British Tennis Venue Registration. We are now registered! More information and the policies can be found by following this link: Bovey Tracey Lawn Tennis Club Standards and Policies

Thanks to a great team of club members, the club is now decorated and almost finished – just the flooring to go down during the second week in March. Huge efforts particularly by our Chairman Chris Laycock! Thanks to everyone though!
Unfortunately Buildings Regs Officers have treated the clubhouse as a “commercial property” and insisted on a higher spec than we planned for, so this has cost us all of our contingency fund. To finish off everything, including flooring, fencing, tarmacking all around and furniture means that we need an additional £8-10K!
Some members have expressed an interest in making a donation towards this shortfall which is most generous. If you would like to contribute towards the completion of this amazing project then please make payments by
Bank Transfer to: Lloyds Bank – account name BTLTC , sort code: 30-96-06, account number: 01097068, with reference “BTLTC Clubhouse”
It looks amazing, but we must look after it. A few golden rules to keep the surface good:
Only non-marking tennis/squash shoes to be worn and absolutely no chewing gum, glass tumblers or bottles on court. During the first summer, temperatures may get high so damage to the surface could be caused. If black marks start to appear on the surface, it is important to cease playing immediately and report it to a committee member as the court will have to be closed temporarily. Thank you and enjoy!
The online booking system is up and running. To book a court please go to https://clubspark.lta.org.uk/BoveyTraceyLawnTennisClub/Account/SignUp
The entry lists for the 2019 Tournament are out. Sign up now! Just enter yourself and Ryan will organise pairings. Finals day Sunday 29 September, or Sunday 6 October if previous week rained off.
